how you can help

Our thanks to our supporters, members, Hobsons Bay City Council & the Office of Melissa Horne MP

Ongoing support

We acknowledge the Hobsons Bay City Council's long-standing support for the Williamstown Historical Society, by providing the Mechanics Institute space for our museum (currently closed for renovations), as well as their ongoing assistance with office and storage space.

Ongoing support

We acknowledge the generous support of the Office of Melissa Horne MP, State Member for Williamstown, in printing our regular newsletters - the 'Timeball Times'.

Financial donations

As a not-for-profit with limited resources, we receive no public funding and rely on membership subscriptions and the generous donations of individuals and organisations, both of a financial nature and items.

Donations can be made in person at the office, or by sending a cheque to Williamstown Historical Society, PO BOX 189, Williamstown, Victoria, 3016.

Donation of items

We accept donations of historic interest relating to the history of Williamstown, Newport and Spotswood, and its inhabitants and regularly receive many interesting and unique treasures that are catalogued, photographed and stored with our extensive collection.

Although the museum is currently closed we are still accepting donations with the vision of re-opening the museum again in the near future.
