How to use this index and find a name

There are almost 1500 names on this quilt. If you would like to find a name:

  1. Look up their surname using the Signatures Lists below (A - L or M - Z),
  2. This will indicate which individual square they are located on.
  3. Use the Individual square buttons below to take you to that collection of squares.
  4. Scroll down until you find the individual square number you are looking for.
  5. Open the drop-down box to view the names on that square, or find out more detailed information about a person. You can also view an enlarged version of the square.

One of our volunteers Pat Klemm has painstakingly recorded all of the names embroidered on the quilt. Deciphering all the names was a mammoth task and without her efforts, trying to find the stories of the people behind the signatures would have been impossible. Thank you Pat.
